A critical mass of professionals gathered

The NMRM aims to bring research and control actions closer together, from the laboratory bench to cutting-edge activities in the field, the most recent discoveries with established policies to combat malaria.

The dialogue between malaria research and control in Brazil is a model case of success. Real demands of the national control program have served as the basis for a large number of investigations and, conversely, research findings of Brazilian groups have guided the National Control Program actions. The NMRM has played a critical role in this dialogue and has always fostered a friendly and cooperation environment.

Traditionally, renowned foreign scientists also help to brighten the meeting. And the participation of students at all levels is one of the strengths, helping to create a cohesive scientific community in which its participants know the reality in their state of the art and what their colleagues are doing.
