General Information

• Abstracts (in Portuguese or English) will only be accepted online and submitted by March 10, 2022 *.
No abstract will be accepted after this deadline.
• Submissions will be analyzed by the Scientific Committee, which will verify the adequacy of abstracts for presentation at the meeting and publication in the proceedings.
• The Organizing Committee reserves the right to refuse any abstract written in inappropriate Portuguese or English or containing misspellings.• Abstracts will be presented in poster form during the Meeting.
• The author submitting the study must register for the Meeting before the abstract submission deadline, March 10, 2022.
In the case of abstract authors who wish to apply for the travel award, registration must be done by February 10, 2022.

* Important: the best abstracts will be selected for oral presentation and the main authors of the selected abstracts will be able to receive a travel award (ticket and accommodation paid for by the event organization) (see further details below). During registration, the author must inform that he/she wishes to be selected for oral presentation.
Attention: The selection for oral presentation will be made among the abstracts submitted by February 10, 2022.


Abstracts of studies dealing with MALARIA and related topics will be accepted in the various areas of knowledge, such as Therapeutics and Chemorresistance, Epidemiology and Vectors, Clinic, Biology and Parasite Genetics, Diagnosis, Immunology / Vaccines, Pathogenesis, etc.

Abstracts that do not meet the above specifications will not be accepted.


The submission of abstracts must be done exclusively through the event website.


Once the abstract has been evaluated, the corresponding author will receive an email message with the acceptance letter.

Travel Award

The travel award will be offered to undergraduate and graduate students who prove their status, and who have a summary of their work selected for oral presentation at the XVI RNPM. To compete for the travel award it is necessary that the student is the first author of the work to be presented, and that during the submission of the abstract indicateS that he / she wishes to compete for the travel award, and submit the abstract by the deadline of February 10, 2022. The amount of travel awards offered will be limited by the number of student oral presentations to be allocated at the event and the availability of resources. At least a third of the travel awards will be reserved for students from institutions in the Amazon region.
The prize will consist of the payment, by the organization of the Meeting, of airfare (round trip) and accommodation with breakfast and lunch (3 days). The choice of itinerary and airline will be at the discretion of the XVI RNPM organization. The place of accommodation may be the hotel of the meeting or another chosen by the organization of the event, and the winners may be accommodated in double or triple rooms.
The selection of the awarded abstracts will be made by a specific commission, defined by the event's organization. Selected students will be notified of the result by email and by posting on the event website.
